GIFT Team

Prayer is central to school life and our GIFT team help support our children’s growing faith. GIFT stands for Growing in Faith Together. They are our leaders who support their peers in their connection with God.

The role of our GIFT team is to support and encourage prayer across all classes and age ranges. They lead whole school celebration of the Word and have been trained to plan and deliver this to the school. During the planning process, they carefully consider prayers that fit well with the scripture reading alongside symbols and messages for children to take into their day.

They support in classes when planning celebration of the Word and also read at whole school Mass celebrations.

They help support the prayer life of the school, by ensuring the décor of the school changes with each liturgical season and is relevant for all children. They do this by changing the prayer tables and stations and changing art.

They have planned and taken part in prayer trails, delivering prayer based sessions to each class in school.

They support prayer and worship at home by putting together our school prayer and scripture bags that children can enjoy using with their families.
